About Us

James F. Farr Academy, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, founded in 1972 by Thomas F. Culhane, who continues to serve on the Board of Trustees. Farr Inc. is a constellation of six separate programs:

Farr Academy in Central Square, Cambridge, a therapeutic day school serving students in grades 7 through 12 with a range of learning and emotional problems, some of whom are medically involved;

Agape Inn in Holbrook, a residential and respite care program for children and young adults with developmental disabilities, autism, and other emotional and behavioral problems;

the Brookline Infant Toddler Center (BITC) of Newton, the Children's Center of Wakefield (CCW), Rainbow Kids Learning Center of Norton, and Kids-a-Lot of Stow, each a preschool learning center for children three months to six years of age. The shared purpose of each of our programs is to educate, enrich, and foster the growth of children and young adults.
