Description
The father of chamber music, Joseph Haydn was known for the humor in his music, in addition to the elegance and intellect in his music. American composer William Bolcom wrote a brilliant and personal work for piano trio, inspired by Haydn's humor and artistry. Bolcom himself shows a fun side together with seriousness in his music-making, as did Schoenberg. We feature some of their cabaret songs followed by Schoenberg's most compact yet colorful and poetic solo piano piece, arranged for piano trio by the Horszowski Trio's violinist, Jesse Mills, with his personal dedication and passion for Schoenberg's music.
