Oktoberfest (or Octoberfest) is a German beer celebration that takes place every Autumn and is know around the world. It has given it’s name to a particular style of brown lager known as Marzen. Although this is the classic style of Munich there are a variety of styles brewed across the country, from black schwarzbiers, light pilsner-styles, crisp and fruity wheat beers, and brown dunkels. Join Cicerone-in-train Kim Simone for an evening of tasting and learning about the variety of styles being produced in Germany and the basics of decoding their labels.
You can choose to take this course in person at Commonwealth Wine School or online. If you choose the online option, we will provide you with tasting lists so that you may purchase cider to taste along at home.
