Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream in Cambridge Hosts Grand Opening Celebration
Local Ice Cream Shop Celebrates with a Raffle, Discounts and Free Samples
WHAT: Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream is proud to announce its grand opening in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Come celebrate with us on Tuesday, March 21st.
Mark and Rita McCabe are thrilled to bring the revolutionary Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream to the Cambridge community. Our ice cream is flash frozen directly in front of the customer with liquid nitrogen, creating a super creamy and delicious treat customers will be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. There’s no air! Just solid, fresh ice cream made to order. We also offer shakes, smoothies, Italian Ices, Frozen Custard, Yogurt, Acai Bowls, Bubble Tea, Frozen Bananas and more. Our method offers a unique focus on incorporating science concepts into ice cream making; and we enjoy hosting science demonstrations for the schools and youth groups in our community.
The McCabes opened their first location in Nashua, NH in 2014 and have since grown the New England territory to include Manchester, NH, Worcester, MA and this 4th location in Cambridge, MA. Another location is planned to open this spring in Ashland, MA. Mark is a 20-year Navy veteran. He and Rita give of their time helping Veterans through leadership positions in the VFW as well as having been in leadership positions with the non-profit Veteran Business Owner Initiative (VBOI).
Rita remarks, “We absolutely love that we make people smile every day. The fact that we can accommodate any allergies, dietary restrictions in so many delicious flavors is huge! One of our favorite parts of the business is teaching kids about the science of liquid nitrogen at the schools. It’s one of Sub Zero’s core tenants.”
At the grand opening, we will be offering Buy One Get One ½ off all single serve ice creams, as well as free samples. We will also be demonstrating science experiments as well as hosting a raffle for a chance to win free ice cream for an entire year. There will be balloons and music, and a ribbon cutting ceremony.
We would like to thank the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce and all of the local businesses and residents who have helped us get to where we are today. We look forward to seeing you on March 21st.
