Parents Forum Seeks Boston-based Board Members
Cambridge MA-based parenting education program Parents Forum seeks Boston-based board members to serve in a variety of capacities including finance, marketing, programming and partnership and volunteer coordination.
“The program has both considerable strengths and urgent needs,” said Director Djamel Bekkai. “We hope that individuals with relevant skills and interest in our work will step forward.”
The ongoing youth mental health crisis affecting every sector of society makes parent support more important than ever. Peer support, the cornerstone of the Parents Forum approach, has proven effective for over 30 years in its work with early education centers, schools, universities, libraries and correctional facilities. The program, granted consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council last summer, is poised for significant impact.
