SUMMARY:Sumiao Hunan Kitchen Adds Hot Dry Noodles in Solidarity with Wuhan\, China
DESCRIPTION:To show solidarity with the people of Wuhan and its front-line health care workers\, Sumiao Hunan Kitchen will offer two special noodle dishes\, one from Wuhan and one from Hunan. All proceeds from sales of these two dishes will be donated to Tongji Medical College Overseas Alumni Association\, which will use the funds to purchase medical equipment and supplies to reduce the risk of exposure to the doctors and nurses of Wuhan.\n\n \n\nThe two dishes are Sumiao Dry Hot Noodles ($5) and Beef & Egg Rice Noodles ($16)\, both of which are favorites in the street markets. Sumiao Dry Hot Noodle will be offered in appetizer size\, so that diners can easily add them as side-dishes to their meals. \n\n \n\nSumiao Hunan Kitchen's founder\, Sumiao Chen\, spent her formative years in Wuhan\, studying at Tongji Medical College. There she met her husband and developed lifelong friends\, many of whom are now clinicians at hospitals in the quarantine zone. This program is her effort to lead her guests and employees to support them\, show solidarity with Wuhan\, and introduce Boston residents -- many of whom have never heard of Wuhan prior to this outbreak -- to the Wuhan she knows and loves. Please see attached for her letter to our guests\, explaining her story.
